    Caldwell Long Live the Queen

    $127.00$161.00

With attention to detail, Long Live the Queen is a four-country blend consisting of a reddish-brown Cameroon cover leaf, a Sumatra binder grown in Indonesia and a mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. What’s more important is these cigars have been aging for the better part of a year after they were rolled, so these are ready to be smoked right out of the box. When the highly critical folks at Stogie Press gave it an astounding 97 rating, they described this medium bodied, slow burning cigar as amazing. The senior reviewer at Halfwheel said it best, “In fact, this is a flavor bomb of almost epic proportions. It’s incredibly sweet and creamy on the palate, but with enough spice and white pepper to enhance the flavors instead of taking anything away from the overall profile.”

    Wrapper: Cameroon
    Binder: Indonesian Sumatra
    Filler: Dominican, Nicaraguan

What we don’t know about this interesting edition is the blend with the exception of the wrapper. What we do know is that it’s terrific! This brand launched in 2016 on a very limited edition basis in only its corona size. As with most of Caldwell’s entries, it was well received, pricey and quickly sold out. It’s now generally available in a variety of popular sizes. This cigar stays firmly in the medium bodied range and has a slightly sweet and pepper like complexity that isn’t overpowering. This cigar is incredibly rich, complex, well-balanced, smooth and enjoyable any time of day.

It is full-bodied and best enjoyed with a stiff drink.” Noted reviewer KATMAN confirmed this great cigar’s complexity best, ” Very creamy, black pepper with a touch of red pepper, chocolate, apple butter, cumin, fresh pear, cedar, and malts.” Enough said!

The Blind Man’s Bluff Maduro is one of four in this amazing series. Unlike the original, this blend’s is comprised of Dominican long fillers with a Sumatran binder. The highly critical folks at Cigars Daily describes it best,”Caldwell’s Blind Man’s Bluff Maduro is a three country blend that produces a medium-strength flavor that builds over time. Light up this dark cigar to get flavor notes of cinnamon, cedar, vanilla, coffee, and raisins. This is a fantastic blend for anyone who wants a Maduro with a refined flavor that doesn’t pack a wallop of high nicotine strength.”
