This box-pressed beauty has proved somewhat elusive over the years. It comes, then goes away for a while for a tweak, then returns. Erik Espinosa is a master blender who realizes his cigars can be better and isn’t afraid to make what he feels are improvements. What makes this edition special is that he reached out to his friend, A.J. Fernandez to collaborate with. The result is a Cuban style medium to full-bodied stick yielding a complex combo of espresso, cocoa, and peppery spices. As with Erik’s other offerings, if you have a favorite size, let us know and we’ll get it for you!

It’s hard to believe the Murcielago is getting close to a sixth year in production. When C/A grabbed one early on they quickly rated it 90 and shared their thoughts about what has become an Espinosa icon;
“A box-pressed corona gorda wearing a dark, reddish-brown wrapper. The smoke is redolent of coffee bean and earth with a touch of chocolate.”
