Montecristo Ciudad De Musica is a collaboration with boutique cigar manufacturer Crowned Heads.
With attention to detail, each Ciudad de Música cigar showcases a luxuriant mélange of filler tobaccos grown in the most fertile soils of Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. What’s more important is that each component of this ultra-premium offering is vintage grade and meticulous. No doubt, the result is an impeccable, medium-bodied masterpiece, with an intricate profile of rich flavor. These very special cigars come elegantly adorned with attractive oversized bands displaying three tokens that call to each brand’s logo, as well as giving a nod to the cigar’s inspired namesake.
Cigar Coop gave this cigar a rating of 92. I guess Jon Huber of Crowned Heads and Master Blender Ernesto Perez-Carrillo turned out a winner for sure! If you’re a fan of Montecristo and Crowned Heads, this one must be in you humidor ASAP!

Crowned Heads Le Careme is a collaboration with Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. and his Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. It’s also important to note that this cigar is the blending creation of Jon Huber himself.
Le Careme contains a Connecticut Broadleaf Grade A Dark wrapper surrounding an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder with Nicaraguan long-leaf filler.
Halfwheel rates this gem a 92. Their conclusion is it possesses a creamy chocolate dessert-like profile. Add this to Cigar Authority’s score of 93 with them claiming it’s one of the company’s best entries. Their summary is perfect.”It is an exceptional blend with rich delicious flavor notes.”

Headley Grange contains very select Nicaraguan filler and binder leaves from Ernesto’s farm. Encasing this vintage blend is a beautiful Ecuadorian grown Sumatran wrapper.
Cigar Aficionado rates it a 91 naming it a top 25 cigar of the year in 2013. They exclaim, “The cigar is medium to full in body, with rich coffee flavors as well as notes of almond and spice”. Add this to Halfwheel’s score of 92. They continue the accolades. “A wonderful blend with a few somewhat unique flavors, perfect construction and excellent balance.”

Crowned Heads Four Kicks Original is the one that started it all in 2011!
This cigar was the first collaboration between Jon Huber and Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. This is a classic medium strength cigar that still appeals to a wide range of cigar enthusiasts.
This premier signature blend has remained a favorite for over a decade. Twelve years after its initial release Cigar Aficionado still rated it at 90. Their words for this masterfully blended medium to full bodied jewel are short and sweet. “A light beginning of herbs, anise and botanicals becomes richer with notes of raisin, malted chocolate and ground red pepper before an earthy finish. It draws and burns evenly.”

Crowned Heads Four Kicks Maduro is a unique follow up to the brand’s original blend. In fact, the release of this cigar was delayed by Ernesto for an additional 6 months to let it age.
This dark cloaked gem embraces a Connecticut Maduro wrapper showcasing a lesser-known Connecticut Habano varietal (rather the more popular Connecticut Broadleaf). The vintage filler and binder leaves are from Carrillo’s premier farms. The result is an amazingly complex tasting cigar via a superb draw.
Without a doubt, the folks at Cigar Dojo were among the first to rave about it with a score of 90. “This cigar quickly presented a bevy of delicious flavors and an incredible smoke output. The core flavors transitioned from sweet to savory, and back again, with complexity showing throughout with new and surprising flavors popping in to keep it interesting to the very end.
