Le Careme contains a Connecticut Broadleaf Grade A Dark wrapper surrounding an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder with Nicaraguan long-leaf filler.

Alec Bradley Gatekeeper is the first creation from the company founder’s sons, Alec and Bradley Rubin.
With attention to detail, this very impressive cigar is a collaboration between the Rubin brothers and industry veteran Ernesto Perez-Carrillo who makes the cigar in the Dominican Republic. With an astounding score of 95, Cigar Aficionado describes it perfectly. ” The Gatekeeper finds synergy and balance with its backbone of pepper (both red and black), nougat and caramel that’s spicy in the right places, sweet in the right places and pops with savory snaps of leather. ” Becoming their #7 cigar of the year didn’t hurt either!

Headley Grange contains very select Nicaraguan filler and binder leaves from Ernesto’s farm. Encasing this vintage blend is a beautiful Ecuadorian grown Sumatran wrapper.
Cigar Aficionado rates it a 91 naming it a top 25 cigar of the year in 2013. They exclaim, “The cigar is medium to full in body, with rich coffee flavors as well as notes of almond and spice”. Their words for this masterfully blended medium to full bodied jewel are short and sweet. “A light beginning of herbs, anise and botanicals becomes richer with notes of raisin, malted chocolate and ground red pepper before an earthy finish. Crowned Heads Four Kicks Maduro is a unique follow up to the brand’s original blend. In fact, the release of this cigar was delayed by Ernesto for an additional 6 months to let it age.
This dark cloaked gem embraces a Connecticut Maduro wrapper showcasing a lesser-known Connecticut Habano varietal (rather the more popular Connecticut Broadleaf). The vintage filler and binder leaves are from Carrillo’s premier farms. The result is an amazingly complex tasting cigar via a superb draw.
Without a doubt, the folks at Cigar Dojo were among the first to rave about it with a score of 90. “This cigar quickly presented a bevy of delicious flavors and an incredible smoke output. The core flavors transitioned from sweet to savory, and back again, with complexity showing throughout with new and surprising flavors popping in to keep it interesting to the very end.
