Diesel Limited Edition Sunday Gravy Porcellino is the last edition of the Sunday Gravy Series.
This one has an Ecuadorian habano wrapper encasing a Nicaraguan habano binder grown in the Pueblo Nuevo region. The filler consists of Nicaraguan habano leaves. One of the great features about this whole line is its affordability of around $5.
The best description of this medium to full bodied cigar is being a layered smoke that delivers notes of leather, earth and spice. It’s construction is what you expect from AJ along with it’s wide open draw. The heaps of aromatic smoke are a bonus. Natural tobacco taste runs through this Porcellino edition from start to finish. Diesel Fool’s Errand Stubborn Fool is a collaboration between Justin Andrews of Scandinavian Tobacco Group and AJ Fernandez and the first edition of the Fools Errand trilogy line.
The construction of the old school Perfecto containing an exquisitely dark and oily Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper encasing a blend of Nicaraguan Habano filler and binder leaves from AJ’s farm is second to none.
The result is a robust and flavorful medium to full bodied cigar with flavor notes of cocoa powder, cedar wood, spices and bits of ground pepper. The draw from Stubborn Fool is perfect and the aromatic smoke is a joy to behold. Natural tobacco taste encompasses this blend from start to finish.

Diesel Grind is the first entry of the hugely popular Diesel brand in collaboration with Master Blender A.J. Fernandez’ for Forged Cigars.
This original Grind blend contains a meticulous mix of Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos from Esteli. Cloaking this is a mysteriously dark and luscious Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper. The result is a smooth but powerful smoke on all counts.
Blind Man’s Puff rates it a very respectable 91. They describe it perfectly. “A really darkly attractive cigar with big rich flavors in the earthy/woody range with some interesting side notes of herbs and spices coming in at a few points. Good stuff right out of the gate. Big spicy flavor with lots of booming smoke.”
To put it another way, there’s probably no better cigar you can buy for under $7.

The result is an exquisite medium to full-bodied smoke with flavor notes of espresso, earth and spices with a rich creaminess throughout. It’s important to note that all the tobacco in these great cigars is proprietary to AJ’s farms. Many smokers feel it pairs perfectly with Bourbon, Stout beer and Coffee.

Diesel Esteli Puro is probably one of the strongest blends is in this hugely popular line.
With attention to detail, the wrapper comes from AJ Fernandez’s La Lilia farm, while the binder is from San José, and the fillers are from several plots including AJ’s San Lotano farm. The result is a medium plus to very full bodied smoke that is robust, powerful and flavorful to say the very least.
Stogie Review rates the Esteli Puro a respectable 90. They say it has that full body with the rough and tumble flavor profile that Diesel lovers first fell in love with, showcasing notes of leather, earth, cedar, spices, nuts, and chocolatey notes. Blind Man’s Puff scores it a 93. Their words are spot on. “The profile was balanced throughout the whole experience” Developing Palates state the cigar is a medium-full to full bodied experience that didn’t skimp on complexity to smoke that is a pleasure to smoke.

Diesel Whiskey Row Sherry Cask is another unique collaboration with AJ Fernandez, Diesel and the Rabbit Hole Bourbon distillery.
The blending process begins with acquiring barrels that contained Pedro Ximénez 30-Year-Old Sherry to cure the vintage Brazilian arapiraca leaf binder. The fillers are all Nicaraguan habano encased with a dark and oily Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. The results speak for themselves.
Cigar Dojo rates it at 90 and says it’s a unique, well balanced cigar with remarkable flavors and is a great expression of creative technique. Noted reviewer KATMAN rates it a 93. He describes it perfectly. “Complex? Very much so. Subtle and surprising at the same time.”
To say this is a pleasant diversion from your everyday smoke is an understatement!

Diesel Whiskey Row is another unique collaboration with AJ Fernandez along with Diesel and the Rabbit Hole Bourbon distillery.
The binder leaves were aged in bourbon barrels from Rabbit Hole Distillery that were initially placed at the factory since 2016. The rest of the blend uses a dark 5 year old Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and fillers tobaccos from the 3 top growing regions of Nicaragua. And each of these leaves has been aged for 5 to 8 years. The result is an amazing medium to slightly full bodied smoke to say the least!
Blind Man’s Puff emphatically states, “The smoke output and construction were spot on and it’s hard to find fault with anything.” To further illustrate the characteristics, noted reviewer KATMAN describes it perfectly. “Lovely components of honey, marzipan, caramel, custard, whipped cream, black licorice, and malted milk balls. The Whiskey Row keeps you guessing.”
