When the original Enclave line was launched in 2016 and garnered a 92 rating along with being named one of years top 25 cigars, most of us weren’t surprised. What sets this edition apart is AJ’s first use of a dark and oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper.
Cigar Aficionado rates it a stellar 93 describing it perfectly. ” Despite the strength of the blend (it leans toward full body), these tobaccos play off one another quite gracefully, imparting a palate of earth, mineral and salty notes before taking unexpected sweet turns that call to mind milk chocolate, vanilla bean and anise.” Full Flavor fans can rejoice once again! AJ Fernandez San Lotano The Bull is another amazing addition to this very popular line.
With attention to detail, the filler of this jewel is from Fernandez’s fields in Nicaragua, as is the binder. They’re rolled in a fine-looking dark brown Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper that is encased in a cedar sleeve stamped with the silhouette of a bull’s head. The bonus is the box pressing making the draw spectacular.
