If you’ve read my posts you know I’m bullish on aging your cigars to enhance their taste. This beauty is encased with a 7 year old Connecticut leaf that tames the Nicaraguan and Dominican filler and binder into a super smooth and mellow smoke. Although it’s definitely a mild to medium bodied smoke, it’s so well rounded and balanced.

Rocky’s introduction of this magnificent cigar celebrating his 10th anniversary in business rocked the industry by achieving a 95 rating! This oily wrapped medium to full bodied stick is as great today as it was back then and is still a bestseller. This is a rich, balanced smoke that draws perfectly and burns evenly. For me, I get a bit of cherry, coffee and buttered toast!

Gurkha Xtreme

What I like about this perfectly made medium bodied stick is the great draw yielding a smooth array of a kind black licorice and cocoa taste. Tough to explain its uniqueness. Macanudo Inspirado Orange

With that being said, the Inspirado Orange line started out as a European exclusive, but eventually made its way to the United States in 2018. Since then, Inspirado Orange has earned countless awards and solidified its spot as a humidor must-have worldwide.

It turns out that around 50 years ago, Jose Pepe Mendez came upon a region in the Dominican Republic that proved to be perfect for growing tobacco leaves. Some Aging Room brands are also produced in Nicaragua by Nestor Plasencia Jr. and A.J. Fernandez. All three cigar makers are considered Master Blenders to say the least. The brand’s portfolio includes several high-scoring cigars across many lines.
The Solera line utilizes the Solera drying process which is used in Spanish Wine making. This technique employs staggering the aging of leaves and slowly combining new leaves as the process continues. This time consuming method adds a totally enhanced taste to the tobaccos. This solid medium bodied smoke has ample draw and offers a smooth and creamy taste.
