I feel Casa Turrent produces the world’s best Mexican cigars. It’s been understandable how many smokers have steered clear of this country’s offerings over the years. While many blenders have cherry picked Mexican leaves to add character in binders and fillers, using all Mexican tobacco has never produced a memorable smoke. ….. at least for me. Enter the Turrent family to dramatically change all this.
The full bodied Casa Turrent 1880 Maduro garnered a 90 rating with C/A and was aptly described as follows;
“A near-black cigar that draws evenly, layering the palate with notes of spicy licorice, wood and dark toast all leading to a nutty core of almond, cashew and peanut. The finish is long and spicy.”
This one is also jammed packed with tobacco and actually feels hard to the touch. But rest assured, the open draw allows all this great cigar offers to hit your palate full on. Buckle Up! Try a five pack of Lanceros and you’ll see what I mean.
