Fratello Oro
$156.60 – $180.00

After working for 12 years at NASA and managing a 5 billion dollar
science budget, cigar lover Omar de Frias walked away from a $200,000 a year job to follow his passion for cigars. From inception, Fratello Cigars has earned 90+ ratings in all major US publications and has been featured in over 30 publications including The Washington Post, Tobacconist Magazine, Cigar Aficionado and Cigar Snob.
I had the chance to try one of these mild to medium bodied Dominican made Fratello Oro’s in the form of their 4×58 SHORTY size. I wasn’t expecting much since I’m a fan of more robust blends. I was pleasantly surprised with how this unique cigar drew, burned and tasted. Rarely do you find Cameroon leaves used for a binder. The results were very enjoyable. Natural tobacco taste combined with gentle notes of citrus, hardwoods and just a bit of peppery spices to keep things interesting. As the overall strength and intensity increased towards the end, it never became overpowering.
Filler: Dom. Rep., Nicaragua
