Eric and Bobby Newman worked closely with Carlos Fuente, Sr. and Carlos Fuente, Jr. developing a new blend worthy of the Black Diamond name. Five-year-old aged filler tobaccos are exclusively grown for Black Diamond by the Fuente Family in the Dominican Republic and meticulously hand-rolled into a rich-tasting Connecticut Havana seed sun-grown wrapper. The Diamond Crown Black Diamond is a small batch epicurean cigar and is very limited in production because it is held to the absolute highest standard of quality control.

Did you ever wonder what makes Cuban tobacco so rich and flavorful? Is it the tropical climate? Maybe it’s the volcanic soil? Or is it because of the natural nutrients washed down from nearby mountains over the centuries that has made the soil so especially fertile? Whatever the reason, you are about to experience the taste of Cuba. Handmade in Nicaragua, Havana Q is rolled with genuine Havana-seed wrapper, grown on the alluvial plains at the foot of the Cotuguay Mountains in the renowned Guayas tobacco-growing region of Ecuador.

You’re probably wondering why a machine made, short filler, domestic cigar would be so popular with Premium Smokers. Every now and again, a product comes along that serves its purpose and completes its mission. When J.C. Newman created Trader Jacks Classic “Kickin” bagged and jarred editions many years ago, it took awhile to get noticed. As they found their way into humidors across the country, curiosity got the better of many folks that opened the containers and took a sniff. And that was that! The intoxicating aroma these sticks gave off led to a try which then led to buying the whole container. Without getting too involved, Trader Jacks by JC Newman is mellow to slightly medium bodied. They’re all infused resulting in a smooth, sweet, rum like flavor that’s thoroughly enjoyable any time of the day. They keep fresh in their containers and have a totally guilt free price offering any smoker a great diversion.

What most people don’t know is that these value priced sticks are produced in the Florida by J.C. Newman, the folks that bring us some of the best Super Premiums available like Julius Caesar, Diamond Crown and Brick House. Believe it or not, more than pretty good tobaccos are utilized here in a short filler machine made form. What that means is instead of containing long leaves for fillers and binder, the contents is made up of all other leaf parts that haven’t been used in hand made premiums. They’re all encased in different shades of really nice Sungrown Ecuadorian wrappers in a variety of 3 sizes and styles. While their appearance is not perfect, each one is mild-mellow in taste with its own character. The 59 Sweet 6×45 has always been my pick of a short pleasant smoke for a whopping $1.65 price tag.

Brought to us by JC Newman, makers of Julius Caesar and Diamond Crown, the fact that all three styles have received a 92 rating while maintaining a value price point is more than enough to get your worthwhile attention.
