A couple of years after Davidoff introduced its Colorado Claro series, the 702 emerged which was another all Dominican blend with an Ecuadorian wrapper like the Colorado. What I didn’t expect was all the flavor characteristics being amped up so much across the board. The 702 is definitely a medium to full bodied blend that gains strength and intensity as you smoke it and possesses that signature Davidoff smoothness throughout. The wide open draw yields tons of aromatic smoke with notes of cedarwood, natural tobacco, cinnamon and baking chocolate. If you’ve got the time and money, the Double R is spectacular.
