There are two important things to know about this 30+ year old long standing brand. Firstly, La Unica is brought to us from J.C. Newman, the makers of such great brands as Diamond Crown, Julius Caesar and Brickhouse. Secondly, They’re blended and produced by the Arturo Fuente company. This cigar was originally conceived by J.C. Newman to be a good tasting, value priced bundled cigar of second grade quality which is what it was until 2010. I remember when they were a dollar! As the price rose over the years along with sales, the makers decided to reblend the line into a moderately priced premium to stand on its own in the arena of great boxed cigars, which it has proudly done. This Natural edition made from Cuban seed Dominican long fillers and binder encased in a Connecticut wrapper yields a smooth mild to mellow taste. These are well made, flavorful and very enjoyable smokes that have stood the test of time. Enjoy, BIG TIME!
