  • Blanco Above & Beyond

    $163.33$182.24

    Blanco Above & Beyond

Above & Beyond® by Blanco Cigars. This series, the first of a planned four, is called “Heroes”. It is a tribute to those that have sacrificed and paid the ultimate price in Civil Service (Police, Fire, EMS) and the Armed Forces. It is also the long-awaited rebranded blend that was used for the American Legion cigar. ALL the Heroes sizes are box-pressed torpedoes. We did this so that the secondary band on the head of the cigar could be cone-shaped as this is meant to symbolize the folded U.S. flag that all Heroes families are presented at the time they are laid to rest.

We plan on sharing the stories of many Heroes and the type of hero they were, as categorized by the name (size) of the cigar. There are four (4) types of heroes; Willing, Unwilling, Classic and Epic.

  • Davidoff Colorado Claro

    $39.40$362.00

Davidoff Colorado Claro has been released every year since 2009.

When the highly critical senior reviewer at Stogie Review raved, he couldn’t have said it better. “It’s probably one of the best cigars I’ve smoked in my entire life. Its hard to recall a cigar so artfully constructed, so well balanced and not to mention its ingenious and engaging complexity. I actually think you get more than what you pay for. I know its price tag is daunting and its easy to bypass it because of its price tag but I truly believe that this is one of those “once in a lifetime” cigars.”

Cigar Authority rated this amazing cigar at 95. Their description was spot on, “As we cross over to the other side, the second half develops a Meringue like note with some honey and nuts. Through the nose there is some spice, as in the final inch, the cigar remained exceptionally cool and took on a warm buttery note over the spice filled aroma.”

Any size you choose is a top pick for sure!

Launched in 2015, the Escurio contains a very interesting mix of tobaccos. This very highly rated medium to slightly bodied cigar is  flawless in design and jam packed with vintage tobacco. The flavor notes of pepper, chocolate, licorice, and coffee are exceptional. No doubt this is a smooth, slow burning  smoke from start to finish.

    Need more proof? CIGAR COOP – 93, CIGAR AUTHORITY – 94, BLIND MAN’S PUFF – 93

Needless to say, if you consider yourself a connoisseur of truly boutique blends, the Escurio is a must try.

    $238.80$310.80

Epoca was originally a Nat Sherman brand circulating during the 1920s Prohibition era. In fact it was their first cigar brand.

With attention to detail, this Epoca Reserva was renamed and relaunched in 2019, but retains its original blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers, a Dominican binder, and a Dominican wrapper leaf. There’s no doubt, the addition of more Nicaraguan leaf makes the cigar stronger and more intense than the original blend. This newer version possesses a mild to medium-bodied strength and and interesting flavor notes highlighted by the pronounced taste of roasted nuts, leather and citrus zest.

We don’t know how long these cigars will be around, but we have them now. Here’s your chance to enjoy one of this country’s most iconic brands from a legendary company.

  • Island Jim

    $220.00$221.40

Leaf by Oscar’s Island Jim is certainly one of the most unique offerings from this renowned cigar maker.

This masterfully crafted Torpedo sized cigar is made in two two blends. With attention to detail, each one yields a very flavorful medium bodied smoking experience. Both contain vintage Honduran fillers and binder leaves. It’s the choice of wrappers that make things very interesting. Pick the Nicaraguan Jalapa one and you’ll taste that Nicaraguan signature of underlying strength. Choose the San Andres  version and you get a Ecuadorian Grown Connecticut leaf around the foot. How’s that for complexity!

No doubt, any Island Jim you choose is a top pick. And either can be enjoyed anytime of the day by all smokers.

  • Montecristo Espada Oscuro

    $136.88$150.70

Montecristo Espada Oscuro is one of the very special cigars by this iconic company.

With attention to detail, the Espada Oscuro is another collaboration with the Plasencia family. As with the original, this blend is pure Nicaraguan. The big difference here is this edition uses a Habano Rosado Oscuro wrapper instead of the original blend’s Nicaraguan Habano. What’s more important is the filler and binder tobacco is extremely rare. To say the least, this is a long burning medium to full bodied smoke with a very nice, flavorful progression from start to finish.

With this in mind, Cigar Coop rates it at 90 and Blind Man’s Puff gives it a very respectable 93! So if you’re a Montecristo fan and liked the first Espada, this Oscuro is a must try for sure!

  • Crowned Heads Juarez

    $23.99$252.00

Crowned Heads Juarez is a value-conscious alternative to the company’s popular Jericho Hill brand.

Juarez is a full-bodied cigar with a San Andres Mexican wrapper and tobaccos from Ecuador, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. To call this robust cigar a flavor bomb is an understatement. Noted reviewer KATMAN rates it a 91. His summary confirms this for sure. ” There is a new caramel or butterscotch flavor. It gives the creaminess a leg up. And now a strong peanut element appears. With the fruitiness and baked bread flavors, it is like smoking a PB&J.”

Cigar Authority ups the score to 94 exclaiming…”It’s incredibly rich and flavorful and a definite must have.” And then there’s Cigar Coop scoring a respectable 90. Their summary is perfectly said. “It definitely provided a smoother smoke than your typical San Andres offering, and brought a nice balance of sweetness and spice to the forefront.”

Juarez is a must try for sure!

  • Dunbarton Sobremesa

    $148.75$317.69

This amazing medium to full-bodied cigar is deliciously complex. No doubt the Matacapan Mexican binder and the USA grown Pennsylvania Broadleaf ligero filler combined with Vintage Nicaraguan leaves is a key contributor. As with all Dunbarton sticks, this one is perfected made and gives off a wonderful aroma. The bonus here are the tasting notes, and there are many. Black cherry, cinnamon, red licorice, dark coffee and of course…just enough spices. Enjoy this truly great cigar!

This edition’s intricate blend of 1998 Criollo and 1999 Corojo long leaf fillers encased in a 1999 Corojo wrapper represents Aganorsa rarest and finest vintage tobacco. • Warped La Hacienda

    $182.70$250.00

Warped La Hacienda and La Hacienda First Growth are two very popular blends from this amazing cigar maker.

First off, La Hacienda is a Nicaraguan puro featuring a Corojo wrapper. This blend comes in two sizes – Superiores (a 5 5/8 x 46 Corona Gorda) and a Gran Robusto (5 1/2 x 52). Making this cigar such a hit is its appeal to such a wide range of smokers. Starting off on a mild note then soon evolving into a smooth, balanced and slightly sweet medium bodied smoking experience. Cigar Coop is quite impressed with the La Hacienda line rating it a respectable 90.

Moving on to the First Growth blend, everything amps up. Here, the aged vintage blend of Nicaraguan leaves adds more flavor, body and strength across the board. For the record, with a Cigar Dojo score of 90 , Cigar Coop at 91 and the Cigar Authority with a 92……You know its a winner as well.

Either one you choose is a top pick for sure!

    Rocky Patel Sun Grown

    $99.50$235.00

No one disputes that Rocky Patel is one of the few Titans of the Premium Cigar Industry. Over 20 years ago as he began his quest to get a foothold in the marketplace he actually got in his car and traveled the country visiting high volume Tobacconists unannounced! When he wound up in my store to sell his first entry, I hesitantly took a chance on him. Actually, he was such a nice and appreciative person I couldn’t resist! The rest is cigar history!

The sun grown edition is a chameleon like flavor changer. The 5 year old Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper gives it a spicy/sweet kind of taste that starts off medium bodied and smoothly escalated to a fuller level. The key word here is smooth. The 90+ rating it has while offering a lower price point is a bonus. I recommend a five pack of petit coronas to wet your whistle with. for starters. And if you do, leave one in your humidor for a year for a real treat!
